Olympian for Oakland Mayor

Oakland deserves a champion! I’m running for mayor because where others see problems, I see potential.

I see a city full of creativity, resilience, and heart. We’re a cultural capital, an engine of innovation, and a place where people show up for one another. But we also deserve leadership that matches that energy: bold, fresh, and ready to get things done.

I’m an Olympian, a stand-up comedian, a former technical recruiter for 7+ years who’s helped many people land jobs, and a fresh face in politics. I’m not part of the system, but I’ve seen firsthand how it fails people, and I know how to fix it. I even applied to be a police officer, ranked #1, and still got stuck in the city’s bureaucratic maze.

I grew up in Oakland in a bilingual English-Spanish household, began my education in Oakland public schools, then graduated from UC Berkeley and Harvard. As an adult, I have sometimes worked 4-5 jobs to achieve my dreams. I’ll bring the same determination to City Hall.

I’m running as an Olympian for Oakland because this city deserves leadership with strength, focus, and follow-through. Here’s some of my areas of focus:

• Fix the budget without raising taxes by getting creative. Stadiums sell naming rights, so why can’t we? Imagine In-N-Out City Hall or the Google Transit Center.

• Reward community service: with tax incentives for volunteering, neighborhood cleanups, and mentorship. When you give back, Oakland should give back to you.

• Create jobs and grow opportunity through innovation hubs, career training, and tax incentives for film, music, and creative industries.

• Make public safety smarter and faster by streamlining hiring, funding mental health crisis teams, and reopening fire stations.

• Invest in youth and the arts: fully fund after-school programs, summer camps, and support the creativity that makes Oakland shine. Create filmmaking opportunities in Oakland. As a stuntwoman, I see so much potential in Oakland for television and film.
